The purpose of this project :
Solving a pain point as quickly and cost effectively as possible through the use of open APIs.

My contribution :
Ideation, use-cases, product requirements, full-stack development


Problem statement :
Ride hailing is convenient, however there is too much choice.


The service provided is not differentiated and the pricing scheme is opaque.


Which is why I came up with FairComparison, the one stop shop for your ride hailing needs.


FairComparison allows you to query the Uber and Lyft APIs.
Compare the prices in real time with each other and NYC taxis.
As well as access a record of surge with respect to time and place.

FairComparison works everywhere that either Lyft or Uber are available and surge tracking is NYC specific.


FairComparison was written in Python Flask, Javascript, MySQL and uses
the Uber, Lyft, and Google Maps APIs.

The development time for this application was 13 hours and totaled 1000 lines of code.
