My team and I designed and built a medical device from scratch.
The problem
Conventional EKG systems are not able to provide usable readings when done in a moving ambulance.
The solution
We built a prototype to reduce vibrational noise from the movement of the vehicle and allow for usable EKG readings.
The result
Our experiments showed a reduction in the magnitude of vibrational noise of about 10x.
